Oh, and if you think you are too old for such foolish ideas… Mr. Simon repeated the trip a few years ago at the age of 70! It took him 3 years and he wrote another book ( Dreaming of Jupiter ) about it. Which, to my embarrassment I have not been able to get my hands on yet. But, I will!

Florianopolis, Brazil is described as paradise by the people who live here. It’s the place where Brazilains move to when they get tired of the violence and congestion in the big cities.
